Everything Old is New Again

I've started something new. Well not really. It's something old that I picked back up again. But it's different so it's new. Are you confused enough? Welcome to my brain!

I used to have an ETSY store called My FunkyBs. I sold hand-painted signs and my sis sold embroidered hand towels. Cute stuff. Anyhoo, because I carried sorority names and their letters, copyright issues caused ETSY to send out a letter saying any store with sorority or fraternity names had to take down their listings. Not wanting to get into any big trouble, I did so. I'd jumped back into retail management at the time, so I had no hours to paint anyway. I decided to keep the store in my name and let it be inactive, just in case I ever wanted to return to online store ownership. Now in this ole life I've made my share of bad decisions, but that was actually a good one. Thank you Jesus, thank you Lawd!

Last week, I reopened My FunkyBs on Etsy. I'd done some research (Googleicious strikes again) and decided to partner with a company that would produce my designs on merchandise because I have no clue how to do that and no equipment to make it happen. I graduated in Fashion Merchandising from Samford, so it felt good to get some value out of my parent's tuition payments again, God BLESS them! I hadn't been in the fashion world since Parisian....PRE-boys! That's a lot of years people. I'm no longer a high fashion type of gal, so I decided to stick to T-shirts, tanks, kid stuff... keeping it simple and comfy. I'd appreciate your prayers as I jump off this cliff in faith once again.

I'm still writing books and creating music teaching downloads, as that is my first love and what I feel God has called me to do in my mid-life season. However, due to "The Covid", signings and author visits are on hold. Hopefully this will make up some lost income. We all gotta do what we gotta do to stay afloat! This is something I can work from my computer, be mindful of others and cause no unnecessary risks, and make a little money. I prayed for something to be put in front of me, and God answered. He's so good. Now I pray He'll use it in whatever way He wants, just like the books. "I'm Not Weird, I'm Wonderful!" will be out any day now, and I can't wait to see how He uses it to boost self esteem in children!

I'll keep writing as long as you are reading. Probably long after that, because it's kind of therapeutic. It's taught me to look for the little things and bring them to the light. It's taught me to laugh at life and especially myself. There's a lot of material to work with, as I continue to do stupidly human things on the regular. Good grief. It's connected me to long lost friends and family, for which I'm so thankful. I never thought a blog would be such a blessing, but it is. If you've always thought of starting one, I encourage you to do so. Take the leap!

Here's the link to my new little baby. I welcome any ideas you have for designs, and you can email them to me via bethroperstewart.com Hit the subscribe button and we'll be connected for life! (It's really not that serious of a thing, I promise. I do appreciate the support of subscribing though. It helps me out in the internet world and doesn't cost you a dime) One Thing Missing and Bebeaux & Pierre are still available on Amazon if you have a little one in your life. Music Downloads to help teachers and homeschoolers are here. Thank you for supporting my little adventure. I love my wonderful weirdos!
